POLAROID 7-INCH KIDS TABLET UNVEILED

As you may know, Polaroid, famous for instant-film cameras, has entered the tablet market. The company has just unveiled its new Kids Tablet (model PTAB750), a 7-inch interactive tablet device designed for kids that will be showed off at the CES 2013. With a simple white and blue design, the tablet comes with integrated side and rear rubber bumpers to protect the tablet from shocks, falls and liquid accidents.

The Kids Tablet is powered by a 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor with 512MB of RAM. It has 8GB internal storage and supports SD memory card. You can find a 7-inch 800×480 multitouch display and a 2 Megapixel camera and support for WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. The tablet runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes pre-loaded with 35 full-version apps. Designed for kids, the PTAB750 includes Kids Cam, Music Studio and Draw that help children develop creativity, and the Kids Vids that stream safe and filtered videos for all age groups. There is also Free Play to filter and display free games and apps suitable for children.

To make learning fun, Polaroid’s Kids Tablet also comes with a range of interactive children books, including Dr. Seuss and Smithsonian interactive books, as well as NOOK for Android book store and reader. Built-in parental controls are available for parents and teachers to setup a safe environment for children. The device is now available for $149.99.
