Here comes a challenger to Motorola’s RAZR MAXX HD – the Lenovo IdeaPhone P770 with a lithium polymer 3500mAh battery. Packing a larger capacity battery, even larger MAXX HD’s 3300mAh, in its 11.9mm body, the handset promises up to 29 hours of talk time and over 26 days of standby time. Other than using the battery itself, the phone is so generous that it can serve as a portable battery pack for charging other mobile devices.
The new IdeaPhone (aka LePhone) is boosted by a 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with a large 4.5-inch qHD 960×540 touchscreen display and a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing camera, and supports Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi connectivity. To be released in China market, the phone includes Dual SIM capability, with one of the SIM slots supporting WCDMA 3G mobile network. It also sports dual mic for noise suppression and features 5-meter hands-free talk distance.
The IdeaPhone P770 is shipped with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, and comes pre-loaded with some unique features including voice-activated assistant, business card scanner, document scanner and Kingsoft Office suite. It has 4GB onboard storage and comes with a free 8GB microSD card. Lenovo’s IdeaPhone P770 is now available in China for just 1699 Chinese Yuan (US273). Looks like Lenovo has no plan to release its IdeaPhones outside China, however.
