Huawei is launching in Germany a new quad-core smartphone, the Ascend G615. With specs similar to the Ascend D quad
announced last year, the new model will come at a lower price. It is
also slightly thicker and heavier than the D quad, measuring 134 x 67.5 x
10.5mm at 145g.
The G615, like the D quad, is powered by a HiSilicon K3V2 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and HiSilicon GPU. It has a 4.5-inch IPS 720p touchscreen display, a 8 Megapixel camera with 1080p video, a front-facing camera, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, and Dolby Digital Plus audio. 8GB of internal memory is probably not enough, but you can add external memory using its microSD slot. The handset supports 3G/HSDPA network.
Heading to Germany next month, the Ascend G615 will be priced at about Euro 300. It comes in white and black.
