French website, Nowhereelse.fr is back with images of what appear to be parts of Apple’s new iPhone 5S and iPhone 6. No one can tell whether these are really parts of upcoming iPhones, but given the track records of the site, it won’t be surprised to see them really sit in the future iPhone.

It is said that the parts leaked this time are speaker enclosures for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6. As you can see in the picture, the part for the 5S looks similar to that of iPhone 5 while the one for iPhone 6 is smaller but thicker. According to Nowhereelse.fr, the source said that a new iPhone model will be released between March and July this year and a second one will come at the end of the year.

A lot of rumours have been heard lately saying that HTC is pulling itself out from the Android starting range but those have finally been denied as the Taiwanese company has just announced a new budget phone for the market, The HTC Desire U.
To keep the pricing down, HTC has opted for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Android Jelly Bean. Also instead of a dual-core processor, this phone runs on a single-core 1GHz processor.
In terms of design, the Desire U fits in nicely . On front, this new device features a 4.0-inch with 800 x 480 resolution display.
HTC packs 5 megapixel camera on the back with WVGA video recording, Beats Audio with the battery capacity of 1,650mAh.

808 Pureview Turns Out to be The Last Symbian Phone from Nokia

This is a bad news for the Symbian fans among us. After decades of working with the OS — which lead theSymbian Dies thumb 808 Pureview Turns Out to be The Last Symbian Phone from Nokia mobile phone race by distance — Nokia has finally announced that it’s ditching Symbian for Windows Phone OS.
Needless to say, the decision was expected given the success of Lumia and Asha series of phones.
Although the decision, I think, came quicker than it should’ve as the company still sold 2.2 million of Symbian devices in the last quarter, Nokia has finally decided to call it a day on the OS.
Compared to those 2.2M phones, 4.4 million phones of the lumia series were sold and an even more astonishing 9.3 million phones of the Asha series. The devices which contributed to those 2.2 million phones were unarguably the Nokia 808 Pureview and the N8.
The Nokia 808 PureView, a device which showcases our imaging capabilities and which came to market in mid-2012, was the last Symbian device from Nokia.
The last Symbian device, the 808 Pureview boasted the best camera among all its competitors with a 41 megapixel sensor with Carl Zeiss lens and Pureview camera technology, not to mention the special ‘looseless zoom’ feature. Most of this technology was built by Nokia themselves in house.
This cuts the race down to 2 OS in the Nokia team and the smartphone race to 1. With no Symbian phones left, Nokia can now fully concentrate on the phones which sell the most. In case you don’t know, a Windows Phone with a better Pureview camera is expected to be released this year.
The Lumia 920, Nokia’s current flagship also boasts a Pureview camera but doesn’t yields quite nearly as good results.
So this is the end of Symbian. So long old fella. We hope you rest in peace. Long Live Lumia.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z international launch seems inevitable after the tablet gets priced in Finland

Sony recently unveiled its Xperia Tablet Z in Japan, but the slate might be making its way out of the Land of the rising sun quite quickly. The Xperia Tablet Z, which is the thinnest and lightest 10.1″ Android tablet in the market, has been listed by the popular Finnish retailer Verkkokauppa, hinting that the international launch is not too far away.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z can be pre-ordered for a steep price tag of €799.90 (about $1050). However, there has been no confirmation on availability date of the device by to the retailer.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z packs a powerful 1.5 GHZ Snapdragon APQ8064 quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM, 32 GB internal memory, 8 megapixel rear camera, NFC, LTE and Sony’s S-Force virtual 3D surround sound technology. The tablet will be sold n black and white color variants.

Hyundai T7 Android tablet packs Galaxy S III chipset, 7″ WXGA IPS screen for $166

Sub-$200 tablets usually cut too many corners to deserve to be recommended over a Nexus 7, but the Hyundai T7 might break the mold. It’s a 7” tablet that uses Samsung’s Exynos 4412 chipset, the same one found in the Galaxy S III.
For $166 the T7 offers a 7” 1280 x 800 IPS LCD screen (another nice surprise, as cheap tablets usually go for WSVGA screens) and is actually better than the Nexus 7 in several areas.
The 4412 chipset packs four Cortex-A9 cores at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM and Mali-400MP4 GPU, so it should offer better performance than the Nexus 7. It also comes with 8GB of built-in storage plus a microSD card slot. And there’s a back camera (2MP) and a microHDMI port.
The Hyundai T7 measures 196 x 118 x 10.9mm, practically the same as the Nexus, and at 303g is lighter than the Google purebred. It has Wi-Fi connectivity and you can plug in a 3G dongle if you want.
Here’s the bad news. The battery is smaller (3,300mAh vs. 4,325mAh) and is rated at only 5 hours of operation. Worse still, the OS is Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The tablet looks like a huge Galaxy Note II knock-off, which doesn’t help either.
You can grab the Hyundai T7 from PandaWill if you’re interested, the store is offering world-wide shipping.
Note: the PandaWill website went down just as I was finishing up this post. It should be back soon, hopefully with the deal still on the table.

Microsoft Surface Pro to be released on February 9, prices start from $899

The much-anticipated tablet from Microsoft finally has a release date for when we’ll get to enjoy all of its Windows 8 goodness.

The Surface Pro is set to hit online outlets and select retailers on February 9, some three months after the release of the Surface RT.
Like the RT version, the Surface Pro is set to come in two versions, only this time they will have 64GB and 128GB of internal storage, respectively. The two will be priced at $899 and $999 with the keyboard add-on costing an additional $100.
The Surface Pro’s marked advantage over the Surface RT is its ability to run full-fledged legacy Windows programs, rather than just the Metro apps found on the RT tablet. There’s also pressure-sensitive stylus support (with out of box stylus) which the RT doesn’t have.
The Surface Pro is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and packs a FullHD display, which unfortunately will push it into the 5-hour battery range of an ultrabook than the 10-hour range of a tablet.
Microsoft has also announced that it will start offering the 64GB Surface RT sans Touch Cover for $599, which was until now available only with the included cover for $699.

MSI WindPad Enjoy 71 Budget Android Tablet

The Enjoy 71 boasts a 1.5GHz Amlogic AML8726-MX dual-core processor, which packs a dual-core Mali 400 GPU for enhanced graphics performance, and 1GB of RAM. The tablet is able to handle Full HD 1080p video playback, though its 7-inch IPS touchscreen has a resolution of only 1024×600. Huawei is launching in Germany a new quad-core smartphone, the Ascend G615. With specs similar to the Ascend D quad announced last year, the new model will come at a lower price. It is also slightly thicker and heavier than the D quad, measuring 134 x 67.5 x 10.5mm at 145g.

Design

Because the first impression is the last impression, design is easily among the most important aspects of any product. The best design here is boasted by HTC’s Windows Phone 8S. Being the most attractive of the lot, the Windows Phone 8S has also got a bunch of colors to choose from.
The curved back makes it easier to hold.
When it comes to colors however, Nokia goes to the next level with the Lumia 620. Offering a large choice of colors along with a different color on the front bezel will alone make this phone the top choice of the youth.
Sadly though, the glossy plastic and the rather chubby build make Windows Phone 8S the winner here. The Huawei Ascend W1 too has got a good choice of colors but the complete details aren’t out yet.

Engine and Exclusive Apps

Although not as important as Android, powerful hardware still plays a big role in Windows Phones. What’s interesting here is that all of these phones have virtually the same ‘engines’ under the hood except the 200 MHz that the Huawei smartphone has got in its processor but it surely won’t do wonders.
The edge here goes to the Lumia 620 which has got 8GBs of storage compared to 4GBs of Windows Phone 8S and Ascend W1.
Right now, almost all Windows Phones are the same except for the exclusive apps. And this is the place where the Lumia shines again. The Nokia smartphone comes preloaded with special Nokia apps such as Nokia Lens, Nokia Drive, Nokia Drive and Nokia Music.
HTC’s Windows Phone 8S also comes with a special HTC app which is fine but neither exceptional nor quite as functional. As for the Huawei smartphone, we are yet to see how many home runs this phone will hit with its exclusive apps… if it has got any.

Conclusion

You already saw where this was going. HTC and Huawei have both managed to churn out brilliant devices but the exclusivity that the Lumia 620 is giving in the Windows Phone arena is unmatched.
Add to that the double storage and a youth-eccentric design and Nokia may have got a winner here. And oh yeah, its cheaper too. HTC may gain some customers with the Windows Phone 8S’ design but the higher price will leave some disappointed.
Huawei’s product isn’t out yet so its not in the equation right now (too bad we don’t even know the price right now).
The strange truth though, is that if you like Windows Phone, you’ll be having a happy time with any of these devices but if you are not ready to join the club yet, even the Lumia 920 or Windows Phone 8X won’t be able to please you.
